2024 Election Year Gift:: Petroleum companies have given a gift of a reduction in the price of LPG cylinders to consumers today as a 2024 election year gift. New rates of LPG cylinders have been released today. LPG has become cheaper from Delhi to Patna.

2024 Election year Gift, started with a cut in the price of LPG cylinders. Oil marketing companies have released new rates for LPG cylinders today. Today, from  January 1, 2024, LPG cylinders have become cheaper. There has been a slight change in the prices of commercial cylinders today, while there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinders.

Lok Sabha elections are going to be held in 2024  i.e. this year, which is also known as 2024 Election year Gift.  Being a 2024 Election year Gift, a major cut was expected. Because in  2019, petroleum companies gave 2024 Election year Gifts to domestic LPG consumers.  The price of a 14kg domestic LPG cylinder was reduced by  Rs 120.50. In Delhi, the cylinder came down from Rs  809.50  to Rs 689.

In the last December as it starts the common man may get a big shock of inflation. Oil marketing companies have increased the price of commercial gas cylinders across the country. The price of a commercial gas cylinder has increased by Rs 21  in Delhi. However, this increase had been done in commercial gas cylinders. In the capital Delhi, the price of commercial gas cylinders increased upto Rs 1796.50 instead of Rs 1775.50. It was a matter of relief that there had been no increase in the price of domestic gas cylinders at that time. Last month too, the prices of commercial gas cylinders increased.

This time it didn’t happen. The prices of commercial cylinders that have come down today are toffees as a 2024 Election Year gift. A 19 kg commercial cylinder will be available in Delhi today for Rs  1755.50. Earlier it was  Rs 1757.00. Today only 1.50 rupees have become cheaper. Similarly, in Kolkata, this cylinder has become Rs  1869.00. Earlier in December 1868.50 It has increased by  50 paise today. The commercial cylinder available in Mumbai for Rs  1710  will be available for Rs  1708.50  from today. In Chennai, instead of 1929, it will now be sold for Rs  1924.50.  

Domestic cylinders are still available today at the rate of  30 August 2023. At present, this cylinder is available in Delhi for  Rs 903. According to the website of Indian Oil, the last time the cylinder rate was drastically cut was on  30 August 2023. It fell by Rs  200 to Rs 903 from Rs 1103. Domestic cylinders today, It is Rs 929 in Kolkata,  Rs 902.50 in Mumbai and Rs 918.50 in Chennai.  

LPG cylinders will be available for Rs  450 in Rajasthan from January 1, the first day of the 2024 Election Year Gift. However, only Ujjwala beneficiaries will get the benefit. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved a subsidy of ₹200 per 14.2 kg cylinder for up to 12 refills per year to be provided to the beneficiaries of PMUY, I&B Minister Anurag Thakur told reporters.

Let us know that the BJP had announced this in its election promise, which is now being implemented after the formation of the government. Apart from this, government oil companies can also decide on the prices of domestic and commercial LPG cylinders in the new year.nIt said, “It is important to ensure sustained LPG adoption and usage among PMUY consumers so that they can completely switch to cleaner cooking fuel.”

What are Others 2024 Election Year Gift

Sukanya’s interest rate increased: The government has increased the interest rate on Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana by  0.20 percent and on the three-year fixed deposit scheme by  0.10  percent for the fourth quarter  (January-March)  of the current financial year. The rates for all other minor schemes will remain the same as before. The interest rate on deposits under Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana has been increased from the existing 8 per cent to  8.2 per cent. The interest rate on three-year fixed deposit has been hiked to 7.1  per cent from the current 7 per cent.

Decision on Dearness Allowance: The increase in dearness allowance i.e. DA of central employees is likely to be announced in the month of March. However, it is applicable only from 1 January. It is estimated that the allowance can increase up to 4 percent. If the allowance increases by 4 percent, then the DA of central employees will increase to  50 percent. As soon as the allowance of central employees is  50 percent or more, then HRA will be revised.

What happens if belated ITR  defaults:The last date for filing an Income Tax Return (ITR)  with penalty for the financial year 2022-23  is December 31, 2024. Taxpayers who fail to meet the deadline can be liable for action under Section  234F  of the Income Tax Act. There is also a provision for sending him to jail under this.

Revise Bank Locker Agreement: According to the Central Reserve Bank, the deadline for signing the revised bank locker agreement is  31 December 2023. If the locker misses this deadline, the locker will be frozen in the new year. Customers who submitted the bank locker contract on or before December 31, 2022, will have to sign a revised contract and submit it to the bank branch.
