The public disposed of 43 veterans – Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s 12, Ashok Gehlot’s 17 ministers lost.
In MP, on Sunday, the BJP shined its shine by registering a big victory in the assembly elections, but 12 ministers of the Shivraj Singh Chouhan cabinet, including Home Minister Narottam Mishra, remained away from victory.
Results of four states have been declared. In three of these, the Bharatiya Janata Party won a bumper victory. At the same time, in Telangana, the Congress ousted the Bharat Rashtra Samithi from power. The special thing is that all these states also saw many major upheavals. At least 43 ministers lost the election in the results declared on Sunday, the data showed.
More than 10 ministers of Shivraj cabinet lost: Bhopal: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday shone in Madhya Pradesh with a landslide victory in the assembly elections, but 12 ministers of the Shivraj Singh Chouhan cabinet, including Home Minister Narottam Mishra, stayed away from victory. Mishra lost to Congress candidate Rajendra Bharti from Datia seat by a margin of 7,742 votes. Those who faced defeat include ministers Arvind Bhadoria from Ater, Kamal Patel from Harda and Gaurishankar Bisen from Balaghat. Prem Singh Patel from Barwani, Mahendra Singh Sisodia from Bamori, Rajvardhan Singh Dattigaon from Badnawar, Bharat Singh Kushwaha from Gwalior Rural, Ramkhelawan Patel from Amarpatan and Suresh Dhakkad from Pohri could not make it to the list of winning candidates. Rahul Singh Lodhi, nephew of former chief minister Uma Bharti, lost from Khargapur. Another minister Ram Kishore Kavre also lost.
17 out of 25 ministers of Congress government lost the elections: Of the 25 ministers in the Ashok Gehlot-led Congress government in Rajasthan, 17 (including Govind Ram Meghwal, who headed the party’s campaign committee), lost the assembly elections. In Khajuwala, BJP’s Vishwanath Meghwal defeated Govind Meghwal by 17,374 votes. Other Congress ministers who lost the elections were Ramesh Chand Meena (Sapotra), Shale Mohammad (Pokhran), Bhanwar Singh Bhati (Kolayat), Shakuntala Rawat (Bansur), Vishvendra Singh (Deeg Kumher) and Udaylal Anjana (Nimbahera).
Pratap Singh Khachariyawas (Civil Lines) lost by a margin of 28,329 votes and BD Kalla (Bikaner West) by a margin of 20,194 votes. Zahida Khan (Kaman) lost to her nearest rival by 13,906 votes and finished third.
Ministers Bhajan Lal Jatav (Wair), Mamta Bhupesh (Sikrai), Parsadi Lal Meena (Lalsot), Sukhram Vishnoi (Sanchore), Ramlal Jat (Mandal), Pramod Jain Bhaya (Anta) and Rajendra Yadav (Kotputli) also lost.
Gehlot’s five advisors — Sanyam Lodha (Sirohi), Raj Kumar Sharma (Nawalgarh), Babu Lal Nagar (Dudu), Danish Abrar (Sawai Madhopur) and former chief secretary Niranjan Arya (Sojat) — also lost the polls.
Bhupesh Baghel’s 9 ministers lost: Here, in Chhattisgarh, 9 out of 13 ministers of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s government had to face defeat. The special thing is that the names of Health Minister TS Singh Deo and state Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu are also included. Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey from Saja, Kawardha Mohammad Akbar, Guru Rudra Kumar from Nawagarh, Amarjeet Bhagat from Sitapur, Mohan Markam from Kondagaon and Jai Singh Agarwal from Korba faced defeat.
At least 5 ministers lost in Telangana: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi was voted out of power in Telangana. Here too, 5 ministers of KCR had to face defeat. These include AAE Reddy from Nirmal, SN Reddy from Vanaparthy, ED Rao, P Ajay Kumar, and Srinivas Goud.
