Mahua Moitra Dismissal Case: Mahua Moitra’s first reaction after the disqualification of Parliament, ‘No evidence against me, BJP’s agenda’

On being disqualified from the Lok Sabha for taking money for asking questions, Mahua Moitra said that these people cannot silence me. Reacting to the disqualification of the Lok Sabha for taking money for asking questions, Mahua Moitra said on Friday (December 8) that there was no evidence against me. He targeted that the Modi government cannot silence me even after doing so much.

TMC leader Mahua Moitra said, “In the report of the Ethics Committee, the reason behind the recommendation to cancel my Lok Sabha membership was stated to be sharing the login ID, but there is no rule about it.”

He further said that the Modi government thought that by silencing me they can get rid of the Adani Group issue. Let me tell you that this kangaroo court has only shown the whole of India that the haste you showed shows how important the Adani Group is to you. In fact, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi moved a motion for Moitra’s expulsion, which was approved by the House by voice vote.

Did I pose a threat to national security through the login portal? BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri used religious words to Danish Ali in Parliament House. Danish Ali is one of the 26 Muslim MPs. Only 26 MPs. 200 million Muslims live in this country. The BJP has 303 MPs and none of its MPs is Muslim.

The Ethics Committee, headed by BJP MP Vinod Kumar Sonkar, had at a meeting on November 9 accepted a report recommending Moitra be expelled from the Lok Sabha on charges of asking questions in the House for money.
