Moitra's membership has been cancelled

Mamata Banerjee's party TMC MP Mahua Moitra's Parliament membership has been cancelled in the cash-for-query case.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi moved a motion for Moitra's expulsion which was approved by the House by voice vote.

MOITRA Didn’t get a Chance to Speak by Birla.

Moitra had put her point before the committee.

Opposition MPs demanded that Moitra be allowed to speak.

What did Mahua say?

Due to the issue of Adani raised by myself for which I have been dismissed from the membership of Parliament.

There was no issue against me before the Ethics Committee, There was no evidence.

The party said this was a violation of the principle of "Natural Justice". Had members been given three or four days to read the report, "heavens would not have fallen".

BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi said that there has been a violation of national security. During the meeting, Moitra misbehaved.
