Who will be the Prime Ministerial candidate of INDIA Alliance? West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has given a big statement on this.

On Monday, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that the INDIA Alliance Prime Ministerial candidate will be decided after the 2024 general elections. She exuded confidence that the alliance would resolve all issues, including seat-sharing, and defeat the BJP. She also dismissed suggestions that the alliance has lost time in settling things.

Speaking to reporters on Monday, Banerjee said that the Prime Ministerial candidate of INDIA Alliance will be decided after the  2024 general elections. Banerjee expressed confidence that the alliance would resolve all issues, including seat-sharing, and defeat the BJP. Mamata also dismissed suggestions that the alliance has lost time in putting things in order. “Better late than never.”  She exuded confidence that a three-way alliance between his TMC, Congress and the Left parties was possible in West Bengal.

BJP Is Not Strong, We Are Weak: To a question on the BJP’s growing influence, especially in the Hindi belt, Banerjee told reporters here, “BJP is not strong, we are weak. We need to work together to overcome this.  She also said she does not discriminate between the Hindi belt and other regions. On the suspension of opposition MPs in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, Banerjee said it shows that the BJP is scared.  “Do you think they  (BJP) became so arrogant because they won two states…They are scared so they suspend them. ‘

People’s Voices Were Suppressed: Mamata said “Even with such a majority, they are scared. People’s voices have been suppressed. They can suspend the entire House. They have no moral ground to run the House. This is a mockery of democracy. ‘ The TMC boss claimed her full support to expelled party MP Mahua Moitra and said the parliamentary party will decide on her Krishnanagar seat. On BJP’s claim that PM Modi will return for a third term, She said that 2024 is not a fixed deal.

Mamata Sticks To Her Stand On Seat-Sharing: After nearly three and a half months, the opposition alliance INDIA is going to meet again on Tuesday. Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee has reached Delhi to attend it. Party sources said Banerjee was firm on   her stand on seat-sharing for next year’s Lok Sabha  polls. In the meeting, she is going to again say that in the state where the opposition party is the most powerful, seats should be distributed accordingly. Mamata wants Nitish Kumar and Tejashwi Yadav in Bihar, MK Stalin in Tamil Nadu, Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena and NCP in Maharashtra, Akhilesh Yadav in Uttar Pradesh,  Arvind Kejriwal in Punjab and Delhi and Bengal to have the final say on seats.

Some Leaders Agree With This Formula: Sources said that the leaders of some opposition parties agree with Mamata’s formula, although the Congress and the CPI(M) are unlikely to agree to it because if this happens,  the Congress will get only a few seats to contest elections in Bengal. The Congress had won only two seats in Bengal in the  2019 Lok Sabha elections, while none of the Left parties, including the CPI(M), could open their account, so it may not get a single seat.

Mamata has been saying in every meeting that a compromise decision should be taken as soon as possible so that there is enough time for preparations for the elections. This will be an important issue in the next meeting of the INDIA. Sources said that a final decision on this can be taken by December 31. At the same time, discussions will also be held on preparing a panel of spokespersons of the parties involved in the INDIA.
