BJP MLA Warns of exposing “COVID Corruption Rs 40,000 crore in Karnataka”.

BJP corruption scandal:- “The BJP government has arranged for 10,000  beds in Bengaluru. These beds were rented. If I had bought, two beds could have been bought at the same price.

BJP corruption scandal:- BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal on Tuesday warned his party that if expelled from the party, he would expose the alleged scams worth Rs  40,000  crore in the BS Yeddyurappa-led BJP government in Karnataka during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Reacting sharply to his statement, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said Yatnal’s allegations about irregularities during Yeddyurappa’s tenure as Chief Minister were proof of his allegation that the state had a 40 percent commission government during the BJP rule.

” Karnataka has indulged in a massive BJP corruption scandal during COVID. If they give me notice and try to expel me from the party, I will expose them. ” Yatnal launched a scathing attack against Yeddyurappa and his family, especially after his second son B Y Vijayendra was made the state BJP president. He said that there was large-scale corruption in the coronavirus management during the BJP government.

“A mask that costs Rs 45, Yeddyurappa, how much did your government spend on each of them during Covid?  He had priced Rs  485 for each mask. ”

One striking revelation pertains to the exorbitant pricing of masks during the pandemic. Yatnal questioned the cost of masks, pointing directly at Yeddyurappa, stating, “A mask that costs Rs 45, Yeddyurappa, how much did your government spend on each of them during Covid? He had priced Rs 485 for each mask.” This allegation raises eyebrows about the transparency and fairness of the procurement processes during a time when public health was at stake.

“The BJP government has made arrangements for 10,000  beds in Bengaluru. These beds were rented. If I had bought, two beds could have been bought at the same price.  They paid a rent of Rs.  20,000 per day.  Two cots with saline stands could be bought for Rs 20,000. ”

Asked for the release of documents on the allegations, Yatnal said the documents were available with the Public Accounts Committee. He asked reporters to speak to Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H K Patil, who was the president during the BJP regime. The Vijayapura MLA said about the BJP corruption scandal, he was also asked to be made the chairman of the Public Accounts Committee but added that he would make everything public. Therefore, he was not appointed due to the BJP corruption scandal.

Yatnal, however, stands firm on his claims, urging for the release of documents related to the alleged scams. He asserted that the documents are available with the Public Accounts Committee and directed reporters to seek clarification from Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister H K Patil, who held a prominent position during the BJP regime. Yatnal’s willingness to make information public and his assertion that he was denied a position as the chairman of the Public Accounts Committee suggests a deeper layer of political intrigue surrounding the alleged corruption.

Interestingly, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah referenced past allegations from the opposition Congress party, which had previously estimated corruption to the tune of Rs 4,000 crore in the name of coronavirus treatment and control during the Yediyurappa government’s tenure. Siddaramaiah noted that Yatnal’s claims suggest corruption on a scale ten times larger than initially estimated by the Congress party.

In conclusion, the dissension within the BJP ranks, as highlighted by Yatnal’s explosive allegations, unveils a complex web of corruption and irregularities during a critical period in Karnataka’s recent history. The revelations demand a thorough investigation and transparency to uphold the principles of good governance and accountability. The dissident MLA’s willingness to expose these alleged scams, even at the cost of potential expulsion from the party, underscores the gravity of the situation and the need for a closer examination of the events surrounding the management of the COVID-19 crisis in Karnataka.
