‘Lok Sabha elections will be held in the country after the inauguration of temples in Ayodhya and Abu Dhabi’, why Shashi Tharoor gave such a statement?

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor Said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January  22 and the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi on February 14.”

In Shashi Tharoor’s recent statements, he has revealed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to inaugurate the Ram temple in Ayodhya on January 22, followed by the inauguration of the BAPS Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi on February 14. Tharoor subtly hints at the political implications of these events, expressing his hope that elections will follow closely in the wake of these inaugurations.

Shashi Tharoor wrote, “In 2019, demonetization,  the  Pulwama terror attack gave Modi a chance to turn a general election into a national security election. In 2024, it is clear that the BJP will now return to its core and project the nation as a Hindu Hriday Samrat. ” PM Modi has accepted the invitation to inaugurate the BAPS  Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi. It will be the largest Hindu temple in the UAE.

Congress MP from Thiruvananthapuram Shashi Tharoor on Friday questioned the BJP over its promise of ‘Acche Din’  to the people of the country. In fact, regarding the upcoming consecration of the Ram temple and the inauguration of the BAPS temple in Abu Dhabi, Tharoor claimed that the BJP is returning to its message. All of this raises the question, What happened to the Achhe Din? What happens to the 20 million jobs every year? What happened to economic development, which would benefit those at the bottom of the socio-economic ladder? What about pocketing disposable income and bank accounts of every Indian? Tharoor’s critical remarks assume significance as the Congress is facing pressure from its coalition partners like the Indian Union Muslim League  (IUML) to keep its distance from the grand event. Leaders like CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury have already declined invitations for the consecration ceremony. The invitation has left the Congress in a dilemma as the party has not made its stand clear, while several allies of the India Alliance are keen to attend the event. Union Minister and BJP leader V Muraleedharan criticized the Congress’ erratic stand on the issue and said Congress leaders in Kerala did not want the leadership to attend the event.

Meanwhile, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust has also sent invitations to Congress Parliamentary Party chairperson Sonia Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge for the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple. However, there is no confirmation about who will attend the consecration ceremony. Let us also tell you that the opposition is divided on whether to attend the life consecration program of the Ram temple or not. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who heads Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, an ally of the Congress, said he would attend the Ram temple event if invited.

The Congress MP Shashi Tharoor said, “The 2024 election is turning out to be about Hindutva versus popular welfare. People raise the question of what happened to the good days? What happened to the 2  crore jobs every year? What happened to economic development that would benefit the lower rungs of the socioeconomic ladder? What happened to pocketing disposable income in every Indian’s bank account?”

BJP leader V Muraleedharan criticized and said, “Congress has no problem when it comes to attending Iftar or organizing a rally in favour of Palestine. We have also seen Congress leaders pretending to be Hindu bhakts. They campaign in elections but are skeptical when it comes to participating in the consecration of the temple. ”
