BJP MP’s Vigorous Protest in BBSR Sparks Debate: Where Was She in the Past 4.6 Years?

‘Where was she for four and a half years, when the election came…’ BJP MP strongly protests in Bhubaneswar, BJD-BJP workers come face to face.

A vivid example of election stirring in the capital Bhubaneswar has been seen late Monday evening. Due to this, the national highway was blocked for an hour. People were shaken and the whole area was shaken by sloganeering. The police had to be upset when they arrived to remove the angry people. Bhubaneswar MP and BJP national spokesperson Aparajita Sarangi went to meet her at Buddheshwar Colony on  Cuttack-Puri Road on Monday.

According to the information, Bhubaneswar MP and BJP national spokesperson Aparajita Sarangi went to meet some people in Buddheshwar Colony on  Cuttack-Puri Road on Monday evening. However, as soon as the local people got information, they started opposing the BJP MP and said that the BJP MP was missing for the last four and a half years and now that the election is near, he has started roaming from house to house.

Where was she until now? Sarangi has not done any work in our area. In such a situation, we oppose them, we are not of any party,  but common people. Not only this, some members said that the BJP youth leader has misbehaved with the protesting woman. The MP has not fulfilled the assurance given to us.

Expressing grief over the incident, BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi on Tuesday wrote to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, questioning the alleged apathy towards her security during her visits.

“I had gone to ward number 43 to hold a meeting on Monday evening on the invitation of residents when some miscreants stopped my car and prevented me from going to the meeting venue. I sat in the car for two hours waiting for the police to bring the situation under control,” The BJP MP Sarangi said.

This shows a malicious intention on the part of the state government. “Politely, I ask if the Chief Minister’s convoy can be stopped on the road even for five minutes. I think everyone’s time is equally valuable. I would hope for an answer to my above question.” Sarangi shared the letter on ‘X’ and said that ‘this is the law and order situation here. There was no immediate reaction from the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) to the allegations.

  • Ex-BJP MLA calls  BJD backstabbing party, says alliance will not be formed in Lok Sabha elections
  • BJP’s focus on  51 percent votes in Lok Sabha elections

At the same time, after this protest, supporters of the BJP MP also reached there and started sloganeering against the BJD government. BJP workers say that those opposing the MP are not ordinary people, but all these BJD goons. It is not right to oppose a public representative like this. We strongly condemn it. At the same time,  the police reached the spot as soon as the information was received and after persuading the people to remove them, the traffic has become normal.

Former BJP MLA Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo has made a big statement at the ceremony organized in Patnagarh of Balangir district. During this, he said that there will be no alliance of BJP and BJD in the  2024 Lok Sabha elections. Not only this, he said that BJD is a backstabbing party. He further said that next year in Odisha, the BJP will contest the elections on its own and win the elections and form the government.

Given the growing popularity of BJP in Odisha, this time the focus is on  51 percent votes. It is reported that there is a discussion between Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and other senior leaders till late Sunday night. Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal told the media that this time BJP is in a better position than the year  2019  and the  election of the year 2024 will be with a record victory. A strategy is being made for this. Under this, different strategies will be made for Lok Sabha and Assembly elections.

BJP’s 51 per cent popularity will be converted into votes. In this regard, it is possible for Home Minister Shah and other senior leaders, including Prime Minister Modi, to visit Odisha in the new year. Overall, this politics of protest that started before the  2024  general elections in generally peace-loving Odisha has made it clear that it will get stronger in the coming days.

Political analysts, however, said it was okay if the locals were opposing the MP, but if the BJD workers were protesting. This does not bode well for Odisha politics in the coming days.

At Last From aAditri Digital: In a dramatic turn of events in Bhubaneswar, BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi faced vehement opposition from locals, questioning her four-and-a-half-year absence ahead of elections. The protest led to a one-hour highway blockade, prompting police intervention. Sarangi, expressing dismay, wrote to the Chief Minister, alleging security negligence. BJP supporters accused the ruling BJD of orchestrating opposition, labeling them as goons. Former BJP MLA Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo severed ties with BJD, predicting an independent BJP victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The BJP’s focus on securing 51% votes in Odisha reflects their optimism, despite concerns about escalating political tensions.
