BJP Reaction
BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla said that once again Arvind Kejriwal did not attend the third summons. This shows that he has something to hide and that is why he is absconding like a criminal. The courts have not granted bail to Manish Sisodia and Sanjay Singh and the courts have held that there was a money transaction.
Shehzad Poonawalla said, “Arvind Kejriwal is reluctant to appear before the investigating agency. There is a straw in the thief’s whisker, now nothing will happen by playing the victim card. Your ‘s favourite Congress itself has said that there is a liquor scam and we have lodged a complaint. This is the same Arvind Kejriwal who used to hold Anna Hazare’s finger and say first resignation and then investigate. What happened now?”
Congress Reaction
Congress leader Udit Raj has reacted to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal’s non-inclusion in the ED summons today. He said- ED is raiding the associates of Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren. Just before the election, ED notices were sent to former Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel and false allegations were made. At the same time, Arvind Kejriwal is also part of the opposition alliance. Indeed, these agencies are not doing their job but putting pressure on the opposition leaders.
At Last from aAditri Digital: Amid mounting tensions surrounding the Enforcement Directorate’s summons, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal finds himself entangled in a web of legal challenges. The absence of Arvind Kejriwal at the third summons and the looming possibility of his arrest have heightened political speculation. Kejriwal’s refusal to comply with the ED’s directives, citing them as “illegal” and “politically motivated,” underscores a broader narrative of resistance against what he perceives as a targeted campaign.
Arvind Kejriwal, in a written response to the ED, expressed a willingness to cooperate with the investigation but sought clarity on the nature of his summons. The lack of transparency and specificity in the notices has become a focal point of contention. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s steadfast stance is met with scepticism from political rivals, with the BJP suggesting that his repeated non-compliance implies a hidden agenda.
As the political drama unfolds, the BJP accuses Arvind Kejriwal of evading the ED as if he were a criminal, while the Congress decries the investigative agencies for allegedly exerting pressure on opposition figures. The situation remains fluid, with the prospect of legal action against Kejriwal casting a shadow over his political future. The unfolding events underscore the delicate balance between legal scrutiny, political manoeuvring, and the broader implications for democratic institutions.
