Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra: The party has already changed the name of the yatra to Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. Addressing the Congress meeting, Mallikarjun Kharge said the BJP was raising emotive issues to hide its failures of 10 years at the Centre and asked party leaders and workers to unite to win the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

The name of Congress’s Nyay Yatra has now changed. The party has now renamed it ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’. Hindu sentiments have also been taken care of by starting this yatra on 14 January i.e. on the day of Makar Sankranti. Which will be led by Rahul Gandhi.

Kharge – ‘Congress Will Raise Issues Of Social Justice’

The Congress President appreciated Rahul Gandhi for undertaking the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir and expressed confidence that his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Manipur to Maharashtra will bring social justice issues to the centre stage of national discourse. “We all Congressmen have to come together and give a befitting reply to the lies,  deceit and wrongdoings of the BJP on ground issues before the people,” Kharge said. He asked leaders to resolve their differences, not raise internal issues in the media and work as a team.

The Congress President said that he respects the work of Sonia Gandhi as the Congress President for 25 years.  “During that tenure, the Congress was in power for  10 years and at that time, our workers stood in every village and city. “Today, we have to work with the same dedication and hard work to take the party forward,” Kharge said.

Bharat Nyay Yatra: Why Rahul Gandhi Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Manipur?

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra had earlier started from the south and ended in the north. Therefore, it was decided to change the Bharat Jodo Yatra 2.0 i.e. Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from East to West. Rahul Gandhi had two options for the second yatra. The Congress has also invited India alliance partners to the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. If leaders of local parties join this yatra, it will strengthen the alliance. This will send a message of unity. Rajya Sabha MP and the party’s general secretary media in-charge Jairam Ramesh told media persons that the decision to rename the yatra was taken at a meeting of all state party presidents and legislative party leaders in New Delhi on Thursday, in which discussions on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections were held. Jairam Ramesh claimed that under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, the 4000 km long Bharat Jodo Yatra was taken out from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.
