Keeping in mind the development of tribals, the Prime Minister announced the ‘PM Janman’ campaign in Jharkhand on Wednesday. After paying homage to Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the symbol of tribal pride, at his birthplace, PM Modi announced the new scheme and explained its benefits.
PM Modi said that under the PM Janman Yojana, the government is going to reach the most backward tribals, who have been ignored so far. “One of the main pillars of the resolve of a developed India is PM Janman i.e. PM Tribal Justice Mahaabhiyan, Social Justice General General Talk, Modi has come out with the courage to take out the Tribal Justice Campaign. Tribal society was constantly ignored for several decades after independence. Atal ji’s government created a separate ministry for tribals and gave a budget. During our government, the budget for tribal welfare has increased six times compared to earlier.
Rs 24000 crore to be spent on tribals in 22000 villages
Modi said that under PM Janman, the government will reach out to those tribal brothers and sisters who have not yet been reached. These are the tribal groups, most of whom are still forced to live in the forests. They have not even heard the sound of seeing the railways. The government has identified 75 such tribal communities living in more than 22 thousand villages of the country. “Just as the backward are also the most backward, the tribals are left behind. Their number in the country is in millions. These most backward tribals did not get basic facilities even after 75 years of independence. I never found a concrete house. In many generations, children have not seen the face of school. Pm Modi said that the Government of India is going to spend 24 thousand crore rupees on the campaign.
Impact expected from Madhya Pradesh to Chhattisgarh
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced this scheme at a time when assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh will be held on November 17. Both states have a large tribal population. In both states, tribal voters largely decide who will form the government in the state. There are 47 Scheduled Tribe seats reserved in Madhya Pradesh and 29 in Chhattisgarh. The BJP hopes that the new announcement made by PM Modi will benefit not only in the upcoming assembly elections but also in the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
