MP Election 2023 Voting Live: Madhya Pradesh goes to polls on November 17. There are a total of 64,626 polling booths in the state. More than 2 lakh police personnel have been deployed for the polling. At the same time, 4 thousand pink and 60 green booths have been built.
Bhopal: Polling for the 230-member Madhya Pradesh Assembly has been completed on November 17. The Election Commission has completed preparations for this. The team left for 64626 polling booths on Wednesday. Four thousand pink and 60 green polling booths have been set up in the state. Air ambulances and helicopters have also been deployed in three Naxal-affected areas of the state.
Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan gave information about voting by holding a press conference. He said that a total of 64626 polling stations have been set up in the state. Polling will be held from 7 am to 6 pm in all districts except three districts. Polling will be held from 7 am to 3 pm in Naxal-affected districts of Mandla, Balaghat and Dindori. An air ambulance and two helicopters have also been deployed for the polling.
Vehicles of polling parties equipped with GPS :- Polling parties have been dispatched to all polling stations in the state. The vehicles from which polling parties and EVMs have been sent are all equipped with GPS. Also, the route of vehicles has also been decided. If there is a deviation from the route or any disturbance, the message will reach the center immediately.
More than 2 lakh Police Personnel deployed:- All security arrangements have been made for the polling. More than 2 lakh police personnel and 700 companies of Madhya Pradesh Police have been deployed in this election. Balaghat, Mandla, Dindori, Naxal areas voting was held from 7 am to 3 pm.
Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan informed in the press conference that since the code of conduct came into force, checking has been done at all places in the state so far. In which goods worth Rs 335 crore have been seized. Rs 39 crore in cash, illicit liquor worth Rs 63 crore and other items have been seized.
