LEFT Announces  17 Candidates for Rajasthan Assembly Polls

Like in MP, there is no consensus on seats in the India alliance in Rajasthan. The CPI(M), a strong ally of the alliance, has released a list of 17 candidates. Earlier, there was talk that the CPI(M) would be given two seats in the fourth list of the Congress. But even before the release of the Congress list, it has become clear that there has been no talk about the alliance. The CPI(M) had won two seats in the  2018  assembly polls. Sikar, Ganganagar, and Hanumangarh are considered to be the cpi(M)’s influence.

According to the list released, Pemaram from Dhod and Amraram from Dantaramgarh have been given tickets. While MLA Balwan Poonia has been given a ticket from Bhadra. The party has fielded Vijendra Dhaka from Laxmangarh, Usman Khan from Sikar, Raghuvir Verma from Hanumangarh, Mangez Chaudhary from Nohar, Sheopat Ram Meghwal from Raisingh Nagar, Shobha Singh Dhillon from Anupgarh, Gautam Damor from Dungarpur,  Nirmal Kumar Prajapat from Taranagar and Chhagan Lal Chaudhary from Sardar Shahar. Sunil Poonia from Sadulpur, Prem Pargi from Jhadaul, Bhagirath Yadav from Ladnun,   Kanaram Bijaranian from Nawan, and Girdhari Lal Mahia from Dungargarh have been given tickets. There are 200 assembly seats in Rajasthan. In such a situation, there is an indication that the CPI(M) will contest the elections on its own. It will not ally with any party.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is keen on an alliance with the RLD, CPI(M), and his father. These issues have also been discussed in the screening committee meeting. But there is a dilemma over the seats. THE RLD is demanding five seats. While it has one MLA. Seats can be given to Bharat Adivasi Party i.e. Baba. Because both the BTP MLAs supported the Gehlot government. Later, he separated from BTP. The CPI(M) had supported Gehlot during Pilot’s rebellion. The CM is said to be in favor of the alliance, but the dilemma over seats is stuck. The picture should be clear only after the fourth list of Congress is released.
