BJP sets seat-sharing formula in NDA for Lok Sabha Election 2024

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is busy making its strategy for the Lok Sabha elections. At the same time, the final stamp is being put on the selection of candidates. Meanwhile, in the meeting of the Central Election Committee of the party, the names of many candidates from 16 states have been approved and the party has set the formula of seat sharing in the NDA. It is being told that the first list of BJP candidates will be held today. may be released.

According to information received from sources, in Uttar Pradesh, the party will leave 6 seats for its allies in the NDA. According to sources,  BJP has fixed 2-2  seats for Apna Dal and RLD. One seat each has been fixed for Nishad Party and Om Prakash Rajbhar’s party. However, the decision on which seats to leave for RLD has not been taken yet. Apart from this, three seats in Assam have their own BJP will leave for allies. 2 seats have been left for AGP and one seat for UPPL.

The BJP is busy preparing for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. This time,  with the slogan of crossing 370, the party is trying to get power for the third time in every way. The party is fielding its candidates by electing. It is clear from the first list how serious the party is about its target of crossing 370. The party has bet on new faces by cutting the tickets of many of its sitting MPs.

On the previous day, the meeting of the BJP Central Election Committee started at around 11 o’clock in the night, which lasted till 03:20  in the morning. About four-and-a-half hours of brainstorming was done to select the names of the candidates.  Candidates from 16 states have been discussed in this meeting. During this, about 125 candidates were brainstormed one by one. It is now being said that the party will release its first list in a day or two. Apart from JP Nadda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and many Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of the state were present in the meeting.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma says that there has been an agreement on seat sharing between the NDA in the state. The BJP  is going to contest 11 seats in the state, while its allies Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) will contest two and United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) one seat. Sources say that about 40 percent of the MPs of Assam are going to lose tickets. Sarbananda Sonowal will contest from Dibrugarh.

It is being told that BJP can contest alone on all 10  seats in Haryana, while in Jharkhand the party will leave one seat for its ally AJSU. However, in Bihar, JDU, Chirag Paswan’s LJP (Ramvilas), and Pashupati Paras’s LJP (National),  Final talks on seat sharing with Upendra Kushwaha and Jitan Ram Manjhi are yet to be held. Also, final talks are yet to be held on seat sharing with Shiv Sena (Shinde) and NCP in Maharashtra.

UP: Screw stuck on SBSP, Nishad Party quota seat

After the release of the first list of BJP candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, the churning has started among the allies for seat sharing. After the list was released, SBSP President Om Prakash Rajbhar met Amit Shah in Delhi on Saturday night and discussed the seats. Nishad Party president Sanjay Nishad has already met and discussed the seat-sharing issue. However, the matter is still stuck regarding the number of seats. Both parties want at least two seats in UP, but the BJP has offered only one seat to both parties at present.

According to sources, the BJP  is going to give a total of 6 seats to allies in UP and will contest 74 seats itself. Under this plan, Jayant Chaudhary’s party RLD can get 2  seats, while Anupriya Patel’s party Apna Dal will also get 2 seats. Apart from this, Om Prakash Rajbhar’s SBSP  can get 1 seat and Sanjay Nishad’s Nishad Party can also get one seat. It is believed that Jayant Chaudhary can get any two seats from Bijnor, Baghpat, or Mathura. Apna Dal is likely to get Pratapgarh and Mirzapur seats.

In fact, in the first list of BJP, candidates have been declared for many such seats including Salempur, Kushinagar, Chandauli, Lalganj, Domariyaganj, and Jaunpur, on which SBSP and Nishad Party had already staked claims. SBSP president Rajbhar had staked claim to Ghosi in Mau, Salempur in Deoria, Ballia, and Chandauli seats. Nishad Party president Dr Sanjay Nishad is also demanding any two seats from Bhadohi, Ghazipur, Jaunpur, Pratapgarh, and Sultanpur. But in the first list of BJP, candidates have fielded in many seats claimed by both the parties.

In such a situation, now Rajbhar and Nishad want to get seats from the seats left in their claim. On the other hand,  there are many such seats including Ghazipur, Sultanpur, and Ballia, which are also being eyed by many BJP leaders preparing to contest the elections. Because of this, both the leaders have requested Home Minister Amit Shah to meet separately and clarify the situation on their quota seats.

Offer one seat each to both parties

According to sources, the BJP has offered only one seat to both the leaders at present, but both the leaders want to get at least two seats. Sources say that SBSP has been asked to give only Mau’s Ghosi seat at present, but Rajbhar is not ready for this. Apart from Ghosi, they have also sought one seat from Ballia or Ghazipur. While BJP has offered one seat to Rajbhar in UP and one seat in Bihar.

Ghazipur is a seat in UP on which SBSP and Nishad Party are claiming. SBSP’s claim on this is considered to be stronger. While Bhadohi is the most preferred seat of the Nishad Party. According to sources, during the meeting with Shah, Rajbhar talked about giving Ghazipur a seat, but this demand has been postponed. On the other hand, sources also say that Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha is also adamant about the Ghazipur seat. After Rajbhar, Sinha also met Amit Shah late at night and spoke to him. It is being said that the BJP can field Sinha’s son Anubhav Sinha from the Ghazipur seat.

BJP stuck on seat sharing in National Democratic Alliance

Nitish’s entry changed everything

Actually, before January 28, seat sharing was not a big issue for the BJP as well as the rest of the parties. Both the factions of the late Ram Vilas Paswan’s Lok Janshakti Party were also expected to get a significant number of seats. Besides, former chief minister Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) and Upendra Kushwaha’s erstwhile Rashtriya Lok Janata Dal (now, Rashtriya Lok Morcha) were also in good spirits.

These constituents of the BJP felt that if the last 17 seats were changed to 20 and the remaining 20 were divided, then their party would be able to field candidates in the Lok Sabha constituencies. But, as soon as Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s party Janata Dal United re-entered, the situation of the 2019 elections came to the fore. In the 2014 polls, the BJP had fielded candidates for 17 seats and the  JD(U) for 17 seats. The remaining six seats went to the Lok Janshakti Party. Upendra Kushwaha and Jitan Ram Manjhi were not in this camp then.

NDA

BJP and JDU retain their seats

Bihar BJP spokesperson Kuntal Krishna said there was no delay in seat-sharing. Even in the alliance, seats were not divided. Last time we contested 17  seats and won 17. This number of seats is ours. JDU spokesman Abhishek Jha said that I will not be able to comment on how many seats JDU will contest. The high command will tell. By the way, we won 16 seats in 2019. That seat is ours. Right there,  Jitan Ram Manjhi said that before the list was released, there was a meeting of the BJP. The second meeting will be of the NDA, in which who will get how many seats, all this will be finalized in the meeting after March 13.

BJP will show itself strong with inward movement

The BJP is delaying seat sharing so that everyone’s intentions come out. Along with this, the way Congress and RJD MLAs are facing BJP, there can be an attempt to give the message that people are coming to see the strength and potential of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Meaning, that everyone is fascinated by the BJP and it has a queue of candidates. However, it is also certain that this time JDU is weak and it was not able to get 17 seats. On the other hand, the BJP  may try to get more than 17 seats or try to field its candidates on the symbol of allies – it is also possible.

Now the formula to win 40 out  of 40  seats is like this

JDU’s return to the NDA means it has 39 out of 40 seats. Now it has to satisfy the allies to make it 40 out of 40  in the next election and keep its numbers better than before. Sunil Kumar Sinha, president of the Chanakya Institute of Political Rights and Research, says, “The BJP  will keep 17 seats with itself. The remaining seats will be distributed among both factions of JDU and LJP, Kushwaha and Manjhi’s party.

If she can do this easily by explaining or doing some internal deal, then she will be in profit, otherwise she will be in a little trouble. There will not be much difference in the current situation, but the separation of someone can strengthen the front. It seems that seat sharing is also stuck on this and for this reason, the rest of the deal is also stuck. “

People will be made aware of votes: Jitan Ram Manjhi

Party patron and former Chief Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi said that through the workers’ conference, Dalits and people of deprived societies will be made aware of the vote. Jitan Ram Manjhi said that by March 13,  the seat sharing among NDA constituents in Bihar will be done. It is not yet decided which party will contest how many seats.  At the same time, he said about Chief Minister Nitish Kumar that we feel pity on seeing the Chief Minister.

Nitish Kumar always used to tell us that we have become the Chief Minister by his grace, so today we will say that he is now the Chief Minister by our grace. We returned it to them with the suds. After this, he said that the INDIA alliance was not going to get a single seat in the Lok Sabha. We will win 400 seats and put Narendra Modi in the kitty.

From Chirag to Pashupati Paras, so many seats are demanding

The NDA  has set a target of winning more than 400 seats this time. This will be possible only when there is a performance like last time in Bihar. Last time, the BJP   won 17 seats. In such a situation, it seems difficult that they will contest less than 17  seats. Similarly, JDU   won 16 seats. Nitish also wants to contest these 16 seats again. And in such a situation, only 7  seats are left. Now Dividing 7 seats into 4 parties is impossible. Because Chirag Paswan has directly said that he wants 4 more seats besides Hajipur. Chirag claims that voters are still standing with him.

Similarly, his uncle Pashupati Paras wants to field candidates in 5 seats. Pashupati Paras argues that the  LJP MPs who broke down and stood with him have to be fielded again. Upendra Kushwaha also claims 3 Lok Sabha seats. In 2014, when he was in alliance with BJP, he contested only 3 seats. It includes Karakat, Jehanabad and Sitamarhi. However, the problem is that these three seats are currently held by JDU MPs. The fourth leader is Jitan Ram Manjhi, whose son has already been made a minister and is now seeking the Gaya Lok Sabha seat.

Upendra Kushwaha and Chirag Paswan

But the real problem is with Chirag Paswan and Upendra Kushwaha. The question has not yet been answered when PM Modi arrived in Aurangabad to hold a rally, why were these two leaders missing from that stage? Nitish Kumar was on PM Modi’s stage. Jitan Ram Manjhi was there but Chirag and Upendra Kushwaha were not.   Before the  Lok Sabha elections were held in 2019,  Upendra Kushwaha was in the NDA  but was out of the NDA due to differences with Nitish Kumar, similarly when the Bihar assembly elections were held in 2020, the demand for more seats was not agreed upon.  So is Nitish Kumar preparing a similar script this time too? Are they?

stuck on seat sharing in NDA

In fact, in Maharashtra, the screw is stuck between BJP’s allies NCP (Ajit Pawar faction) and Shiv Sena (Shinde faction). In Maharashtra, which has 48 Lok Sabha seats, both the allies of the BJP are demanding more seats, while the BJP wants more seats for itself.

It is being told that BJP  wants to contest 30 out of 48  seats. At the same time, it wants to give 12  seats to its ally Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) and 6 seats to NCP (Ajit faction).  While Shiv Sena is demanding 22 seats in the election. This is the reason why the matter of seat sharing in the party has not been made yet. Monday 5 After the meeting in Sambhajinagar in March, Amit Shah will leave for Mumbai. Where he will hold a meeting with NCP and Shiv Sena leaders. In which seat sharing is expected to be discussed.

NDA

Shinde faction stakes claim to so many Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra

The BJP,  NCP, and Shiv Sena have tightened their loins for the Lok Sabha elections 2024  in Maharashtra. The seat sharing in the Mahayuti alliance has not been done yet. Meanwhile, Shinde’s Shiv Sena has demanded 22  seats for the Maharashtra Lok Sabha elections. Shiv Sena Shinde faction leader and minister Shambhuraj Desai has said that Shiv Sena contested 22 seats with a bow and arrow symbol in 2019, we demand that we get the same number of seats in this election.

It is certain that in the upcoming  Lok Sabha elections, Mahayuti i.e. Shiv Sena, BJP, and NCP will contest together. Which party will contest how many seats and which seats will be contested, will be decided soon. Coordination committee meetings of each party have been held and reports have been submitted. According to the Shiv Sena of the Shinde faction, the party will also contest all 22 Lok Sabha constituencies. reviewed. The information of which has been conveyed to  Eknath Sinde.

According to the Shinde faction, in the last time i.e. in 2019, Shiv Sena contested 22 seats and won 18 seats, so this time also we are insisting on 22 seats. Soon the final decision in this matter will be taken by the top leaders of the three parties together. The Shinde faction also made it clear that there is a good atmosphere in our Mahayuti government and no one is angry. Seeking a seat by a party or leader Or insisting on a seat does not mean resentment. That is their demand.

It will be discussed in the meeting and the right way will be found. No one will be offended. At present, on the sharing of Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra, it is also discussed that the BJP can give seats to its allies but can keep the condition that they contest elections on their lotus symbol.

Amit Shah on a two-day visit to Maharashtra

Home Minister Amit Shah is on a two-day visit to Maharashtra. He reached Sambhajinagar at 10 o’clock last night. He has many important programs here. Amit Shah will visit Akola on Tuesday. The Home Minister will chair the meeting of BJP’s election management committee and its core committee. Chandrapur, Buldhana, Akola, Yavatmal, Wardha and Amravati Lok Sabha constituencies will be discussed.

Shah will also address a youth convention in Jalgaon (north Maharashtra) and a public rally in Sambhajinagar (Marathwada). Marathwada, Vidarbha, and Khandesh are considered to be three important regions in Maharashtra. Marathwada is the center of the Maratha reservation, due to which there has been a ruckus in the politics of Maharashtra for a long time. In such a situation, Amit Shah will also visit these important places. The Home Minister’s visit to Maharashtra is very important for upcoming elections Supposedly. These days there is a stir in the politics of the state. It is being said that there is a tug-of-war between the NDA coalition in the state over seat sharing.

BJP

Conclusion From aAditri Digital

In conclusion, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is in intense strategizing for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, setting seat-sharing formulas within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) to maximize its chances of success. The meticulous planning and negotiations underscore the party’s determination to secure a third consecutive term in power. With a focus on fielding candidates aligned with its ambitious target of crossing the 370-seat mark, the BJP is demonstrating a readiness to embrace new faces while navigating complexities in coalition politics.

The marathon meetings and deliberations within the BJP Central Election Committee reflect the seriousness with which the party approaches candidate selection. However, challenges in seat allocation, particularly in states like Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra, highlight the intricate dynamics within the NDA. As the BJP juggles the demands of its allies, such as the Shiv Sena and NCP in Maharashtra, and navigates internal factions, clarity on seat sharing remains elusive.

The forthcoming visits and engagements of Home Minister Amit Shah in Maharashtra underscore the significance of the state in the electoral calculus. Amidst the flurry of activities and negotiations, the BJP’s overarching goal remains to strengthen its electoral prospects while managing the expectations and aspirations of its coalition partners. The evolving landscape of alliances and seat-sharing arrangements will ultimately shape the contours of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, underscoring the complex interplay of politics and power dynamics in India’s electoral arena.
