The BJP rebels did not let themselves win or win, which party suffered more than the rebels?

Rajasthan Election 2023:  If you look at the results of the last assembly elections in Rajasthan, most of the leaders who rebel against the BJP lose the election, but due to this, the party’s candidate does not win. What is the condition of Congress rebels?

A total of 737 independent candidates are in the fray for the Rajasthan Assembly elections. In the 2018 elections, this figure was 830. That is, more than 100 independent candidates have decreased this time from the last election. At the same time, the 737 independents who are contesting the elections include rebel leaders of BJP and Congress. In such a situation, the big question is, whose fate will these rebels shine and whose game will they spoil? Let’s find out.

In the 2018 Assembly elections, 11 candidates had contested as independents. Of these, 10 had won and became MLAs, while 12 BJP candidates contested as independents, but not a single one won.  From the Congress, Rajkumar Gaur, Mahadev Singh, Babulal Nagar, Baljeet Yadav, Khushveer Singh, Sanyam Lodha, Ramila Khadia, Laxman Meena, Alok Beniwal and Ramkesh Meena contested as Independents and won by huge margins. Om Prakash Hooda, who was a BJP rebel, has been declared the official candidate of the Congress this time.

Of the 13 independent candidates who won the elections in 2018, 12 were Congress rebels. When the government was formed by the Congress, all the 13 independents went to CM Ashok Gehlot’s camp. Of these, 10 have also been given Congress tickets by CM Gehlot this time. That is, in this election, he is contesting as a Congress candidate.

None of the BJP rebels could reach the threshold of the Assembly by winning the election. While big rebel BJP leaders like Kuldeep Dhankar, Devi Singh Shekhawat, Dhan Singh Rawat and Hem Singh Bhadana came second. Where their rebellion took place, the BJP candidate also had to face defeat. Dhan Singh Rawat had finished third in Banswara but lost the election to BJP’s Harku Maida after he got more than 32,000 votes.

From the Congress, Rajkumar Gaur, Mahadev Singh, Babulal Nagar, Baljeet Yadav, Khushveer Singh, Sanyam Lodha, Ramila Khadia, Laxman Meena, Alok Beniwal and Ramkesh Meena. They won all the elections. Apart from these, Bhim Raj Baheti, Naval Kishore Meena-Om Naraniwal, Pradyuman Singh, Prithpal Singh, Laxmanram Meghwal, Pusaram Godara and Balram Chaudhary were from Congress.

At the same time, Kuldeep Dhankar from BJP, who has been given a ticket by BJP from Biratnagar this time. Hem Singh Bhadana also contested rebel from Thanagazi, this time BJP has given him a ticket. Dhan Singh Rawat, Devi Singh Shekhawat also fought rebels and finished second. In Banswara, former MLA and BJP rebel Dhan Singh Rawat came third. But because of these, BJP candidate Harku Maida lost the election.
