BOOTH VIJAY SANKALAP ABHIYAN – BJP, MP 2023
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated an expansive outreach program ahead of the upcoming elections, targeting 65,000 booths across 12,000 strategic locations in the poll-bound state. Starting today, October 16, Monday, this three-day initiative marks the onset of the party’s intensive electioneering campaign. Insider sources, preferring anonymity, revealed that this effort will be succeeded by doorstep campaigns and mass public rallies, underlining BJP’s commitment to securing a robust ground presence and directly connecting with the electorate
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled its aggressive strategy for the forthcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections, introducing an extensive ground campaign titled “booth vijay abhiyan” (booth victory campaign). Central to this drive is the objective of solidifying its grassroots presence and ensuring victory at every booth in the state. Party cadre, at each booth level, are mobilizing and taking a solemn pledge to ensure the BJP’s triumph, signifying the party’s unwavering focus on micro-level electoral politics.
Madhya Pradesh’s BJP division has amplified the election fervor by announcing its intent to release a ‘Dhamakedar’ fifth list of candidates for the polls scheduled for the subsequent month. This list, given its enthusiastic description, is expected to feature heavyweights and popular faces to bolster the party’s chances.
Fueling the buzz and curiosity around the elections is the speculation regarding Central Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia’s potential entry into the state electoral arena. A political stalwart and a member of the influential Scindia royal lineage, Jyotiraditya’s current role is as a Rajya Sabha MP. The prospect of him vying for a state post represents a significant departure, given that he has never participated in a state election before. Such a move is indicative of the BJP’s overarching strategy to field marquee candidates across states, especially those with considerable local influence and appeal.
The BJP’s inclination to bring Union Ministers and MPs with substantial local connections to the state political landscape showcases its determination to gain a strategic edge. The idea is to blend national prominence with regional ties, thereby ensuring that these candidates resonate with the local electorate while still projecting a pan-India image of strength and unity.
Jyotiraditya’s potential candidature assumes even greater significance in light of recent developments within his family. His aunt, Yashodhara Raje Scindia, another eminent political figure from Madhya Pradesh and a stalwart in her own right, has decided to recuse herself from contesting the polls due to health concerns. This decision has paved the way for newer faces from the Scindia clan to step into the state’s political arena, maintaining the family’s legacy and its pivotal role in Madhya Pradesh’s political landscape.
