What did Siddaramaiah say during the inauguration of police stations? On Friday, politics heated up again in Karnataka over the hijab. Siddaramaiah announced on December  22 that he had issued instructions to remove the hijab ban in government schools. Siddaramaiah was attacking the former BJP government of the state through this statement. Discussions started again on the controversy of whether hijab should be there in education institutes. Questions asked by Siddaramaiah: Then a question came from the crowd will the restrictions on hijab be lifted? Siddaramaiah replied that no, you can roam around wearing hijab, I have recently instructed my officials to lift the ban on hijab. What you wear and what you eat is your choice. Who am I to get in the way? Whatever clothes you wear, and you eat anything you like? Why should I worry?  I will eat whatever I feel like. That’s so simple.

BJP President Shows Mirror: I’ll wear a Punche and Jubba, you wear pants and a shirt, what’s wrong with that? It is your choice, do not do politics just for votes. Siddaramaiah’s comments came just a day after he met with Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Karnataka BJP president B Y Vijender termed the chief minister’s comments as “Irresponsible”. Vijender said that he wants to spoil the atmosphere of educational institutes. At least Congress should not have dragged the children into its dirty politics. We did not expect this from a Chief Minister,  the government should at least spare the children.
