Congress Held a meeting:Meanwhile, senior Congress party leaders along with party presidents and other office bearers of many states have also held an important meeting in Delhi on Friday. This meeting will continue on Saturday. According to party sources, this exercise is to present a strong claim during the talks about seats. It is a different matter that for this, the party will have to compromise on seats on different formulas with allies in all the states.

Big Challenges In 3 States: Meanwhile, the most important the seat sharing challenge before the party is Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Kerala. The Sahyog Dal is not in favour of giving more seats to the Congress in view of its strong position. However, if sources are to be believed, the party will present its claim on its vote bank and those seats in the states, Where he had gathered a good vote in the last elections. At the same time, the allies do not have any strong candidate compared to their candidates.

Congress has no objection to sharing of Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir: The Jammu and Kashmir unit of the Congress has no objection to the sharing of Lok Sabha seats with the INDIA allies in the state. He is ready to contest elections together with coalition partners. State Congress leaders have given detailed information about the party’s base in all the five Lok Sabha constituencies of Jammu and Kashmir to the five-member National Alliance Committee formed by the high command.

The party’s position was also spelled out about the remaining two Lok Sabha constituencies of Kashmir, Srinagar and Baramulla. Now the National Alliance Committee will discuss it to assess the whole situation. After this, a discussion will be held on the sharing of seats with INDIA constituents National Conference and PDP.

According to sources, after the report of the states, the national committee formed under the leadership of senior party leader Mukul Wasnik for the agreement on seats will carry forward the discussion with the allies. If needed, the party’s national leadership will also intervene. The plan at present is to finalize seat sharing by January. In such a situation, this discussion, which starts next week i.e. January 4, will continue continuously. It will also meet on January  8 and January 12.

Manifesto committee meeting will be held on 4th January 2024: The party has also scheduled a meeting of the manifesto committee on January 4. Which will be led by former Home Minister P Chidambaram. Meanwhile, the Congress party has also gathered momentum in preparations for its Bharat Nyay Yatra. The party has also called for Delhi on January 4 among the state presidents of all the states  through which the yatra will go. The route of the yatra will also be announced by the party on January 8. After this, on January  12, the party will release the slogan and logo of the yatra. On January  14, party president Mallikarjun Kharge will hand over the flag to the yatra.
