Mahua in action mode, Moves Supreme Court Against Expulsion from Lok Sabha.

Mahua Moitra has challenged her expulsion from the Lok Sabha in the Supreme Court. Moitra was expelled from the Lower House on Friday for asking questions for taking bribe.

The former Trinamool Congress MP, however, denied all the allegations. He was accused by Bharatiya Janata Party MP Nishikant Dubey of asking questions in Parliament by taking bribe.She  has challenged her expulsion from the Lok Sabha in the Supreme Court. She was expelled from the Lower House on Friday for asking questions for taking bribe.

Mahua was expelled from the Lok Sabha on December 8 after accepting the Ethics Committee report. She was accused of accepting bribes and expensive gifts from businessman Darshan Hiranandani. An affidavit was also filed on behalf of the businessman himself, in which he claimed that Mahua had shared the login details of Parliament to question the Adani Group.

After her expulsion, Mahua also targeted the Ethics Committee. She had alleged “without evidence” action. She also said that it is becoming a weapon to target the opposition. Her allegations were that the Ethics Committee had broken all the rules. She had said that when the committee’s report was taken, She did not get a chance to present an explanation.

The special thing is that on December 2, Mahua was also asked to appear before the Ethics Committee, but she came out accusing the committee. She came out and accused the committee of asking the wrong questions. MP Danish Ali, who was part of the committee during that time, also came out in support of Mahua.
