Mission 80 in UP 2024: The Vikash Bharat Sankalp Yatra is a government initiative being run across the country to raise awareness about major central schemes like Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana, PM SVANidhi etc and monitor their implementation.
The opposition parties are still preparing the army to enter the BIG WAR of 2024 of the Lok Sabha elections, till then the BJP is moving towards churning almost the whole of India once. Meanwhile, the BJP has gone several steps ahead by taking a pledge of Mission 80.

In Uttar Pradesh, where victory is considered the biggest basis of the success of 2024, all political parties are working, the BJP is working on a strategy to win Mission-80 i.e. all 80 parliamentary seats. Party workers have reached about forty thousand villages by knocking from door to door with the help of Vikash Bharat Sankalp Yatra by activating the organization in every village, ward-ward.
Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra begins: With the government reaching the doorstep of the people, the Modi government started the Vikash Bharat Sankalp Yatra using, ‘Mission 80’. The objective of this government program is that no eligible person should be deprived of the schemes of the Central Government. However, the active participation of all the public representatives and organization workers of BJP with the precise strategy in this campaign has made this event so big that it has taken the shape of the most important public relations campaign before the election. Talking about Uttar Pradesh, with the maximum 80 Lok Sabha seats, which is a part of Mission 80 here the challenges are big for the BJP along with the possibilities.
BJP sets a target of winning all 80 seats, Refer as Mission 80: The main opposition Samajwadi Party is in alliance with the Congress and the Rashtriya Lok Dal. Many other smaller parties, including the BSP, also have their caste base. Despite this, the BJP has set a target of winning all 80 seats, which is called Mission 80. Along with adding new beneficiaries and other villagers through this yatra, the party has also tested the strength of the organization once again.
Uttar Pradesh General Secretary Subhash Yaduvansh, who is in charge of the coordinator of this yatra, said that more than 550 chariots are running in the yatra, which has been named Modi’s Guaranteed vehicle. It is doing around 1100 programs every day. The advance team arrives before the journey to knock on every house, which consists of 15 workers of the concerned division.
BJP workers have reached 40 thousand villages under Mission 80: Their meeting is held with the booth committee, power centre coordinator, and in-charge. This is followed by door-to-door knocking and inviting the characters and beneficiaries to travel. So far, 225 crore common people of about 40 thousand villages have been contacted. As a result of that, lakhs of new beneficiaries have been created. It Means, 2205500 new Ayushman Bharat cards, 161699 Ujjwala connections, and 272252 Jeevan Jyoti Bima beneficiaries were added in rural areas.
Similarly, Ujjwala Yojana 385533 in urban areas, 387490 Ayushman Bharat Card and 358000 PM SVANidhi Yojana beneficiaries have been newly added. Subhash Yaduvansh said that the party’s target is to reach every ward including all about 58 thousand villages through this yatra. For continuous monitoring of this, review meetings are also being held twice a week by State President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary and State General Secretary Organization Dharampal.
What Is Viksit Bharat Sankal Yatra?
All Gram Panchayats, Nagar Panchayats, and Urban Local Bodies of India are to be covered through the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. According to the information given on the website of this initiative, there are four objectives of the Vikash Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
- First- Reach out to underprivileged people who are eligible under various schemes but have not yet availed of the benefits.
- Second, to disseminate information and create awareness about the schemes.
- Third- Interact with beneficiaries of government schemes through sharing their personal stories and experiences.
- Fourth- Enrol potential beneficiaries through details ascertained during the visit.
This campaign is being run by adopting a whole-of-government approach with the active participation of the Government of India, State Governments, various Ministries, and Departments of the Central Government.
The journey began about two months ago: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was launched from Khunti in Jharkhand on November 15 last year, but it was launched on December 16 in five states (where assembly elections were held recently). PM Modi flagged it off through a virtual medium. In fact, due to the assembly elections in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Mizoram, this yatra could not start due to the model code of conduct.
Yatra reached more than 2.50 crore citizens: According to sources, in just one month, the Vikash Bharat Sankalp Yatra has reached out to more than 2.50 crore citizens in 68,000 Gram Panchayats of the country. Around 2 crore people have taken the Vikash Bharat Pledge and more than 2 crore beneficiaries of central government schemes have shared their experiences under the ‘Meri Kahaani Meri Zubani’ initiative. People can take the ‘pledge’ by filling up a form on the scheme’s website and downloading a certificate.
