However, only 40-45% of Hindus voted for the BJP. By politicising the Ram temple consecration, the BJP is alienating 60 per cent of Hindus in India, which is unfortunate. BJP is harming the Hindu religion by doing this politics.”

Reacting to Saurabh’s reply, Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor said, “Saurabh Bhardwaj’s statement smacks of political frustration. We want to remind Bhardwaj that it is not the BJP but the Ram Janmabhoomi Kshetra Trust which is inviting eminent personalities, including political leaders.”
