It is being speculated that Ravindra Singh Bhati may file his nomination as an Independent from Shiv Assembly on Monday. Ravindra Singh Bhati has been the president of Jai Narayan Vyas Jodhpur University, the largest university of Marwar. Here he contested as an Independent in the 2019 student union elections. During this time, he got 1294 votes for the post of president, creating history, he won with a good margin.
Ravindra Singh joined the BJP seven days ago in Jaipur in the presence of BJP in-charge Arun Singh and state president CP Joshi. After this, it was believed that Bhati was set to get a ticket from Shiv Assembly. While Bhati was also demanding a ticket from Shiv Assembly. But in its fourth list, the BJP fielded Swaroop Singh Khara from there. The BJP has fielded Mahendra Singh Rathore as its candidate from Sardarpura assembly seat. After this, there was anger among Bhati’s supporters. Supporters have protested against giving ticket to Swaroop Singh Khara.
Ravindra Singh has now decided to contest as an independent candidate after being denied a ticket by the Bhati BJP. Regarding this, he has sought support from people by posting on social media platform X. He has indicated that he will contest as an independent and file his nomination on November 6. He said in his post that he started his life by considering public service as the utmost duty and fought for it with full competence.
