Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today launched his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Manipur to Mumbai, promising to bring back the era of peace, possibility, and justice to the state as well as the country, attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not coming to wipe the tears of the victims of Manipur violence so far.
Manipur has become a symbol of RSS and BJP’s politics of injustice and hatred and that is why he began his journey from east to west India.
Rahul gandhi
A special reason to start the journey from Manipur- Rahul
There is not much time left in the election. So decided to take a bus trip along with the walk. The question arose from where to start the journey, some said to do it from the west, and some said east. I clearly said that the next Bharat Jodo Yatra can start only in Manipur. BJP has hate politics in Manipur.
Rahul Gandhi announces new vision of development
During the Nyay Yatra started before the Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi announced to present a new vision of development with equality and brotherhood before the people of the country and said that the Congress party would bring this vision after listening to the minds of the common people.
Addressing a large public meeting before the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra bus left for the Khongjom War Memorial at Thoubal, about 40 km from Manipur capital Imphal, he launched a scathing attack on the Modi government.

Rahul Gandhi targets BJP-RSS
Rahul Gandhi, who arrived here with an army of Congress leaders about three hours late due to fog in Delhi, first paid tribute to the martyred fighters of Manipur who fought the British. “We are going through a period of great injustice in India and its impact is visible in all fields – social, economic, and political.
Manipur is the most glaring example of this injustice and for the BJP-RSS, Manipur is no longer a part of India. That is why he decided to start the Nyay Yatra from Manipur.
Congress will present a new vision for the country: Rahul Gandhi
Attacking the policies of the central government, Rahul said that on one hand economic monopoly is being established and a few people are getting access to all the wealth of the country. The small and medium business sectors are being demolished. Unemployment is rampant and inflation is at its peak.
Dalits, deprived, backward castes, and tribals have no role in the governance of the country because they have been kept out of the system. Rahul said that the 4000 km Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir to eradicate hatred had a positive impact, so by listening to the people’s minds in the Nyay Yatra from Manipur to Mumbai, the Congress will present a new perspective to take the country out of the phase of injustice.
Mallikarjun Kharge flags off yatra
Listening to farmers, laborers, small shopkeepers, women, and youth is the goal of this yatra and in the vision we will keep, there will be no place for violence, hatred, or monopoly. We are going to put before the people the vision of building the country based on Congress possibilities, equality, and brotherhood.

Despite the violent turmoil in Manipur, the crowd of thousands gathered in Khongjom stood for hours holding the tricolor and when Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge handed over the national flag to Rahul Gandhi and started the Nyay Yatra, the venue echoed with the chants of Bharat Mata. After this, Kharge removed the curtain of the special bus prepared for the journey and flagged off Rahul’s yatra after the public meeting.
Rahul Gandhi to walk 8-10 km daily
During the journey from Khongjom memorial to Imphal, despite dusk, a large number of people standing on the roadside, a large number of women, were seen standing on the roadside to receive Rahul. In view of the situation in Manipur, a squad of central forces along with the local police was monitoring the entire route from the yatra site to the yatra site.
Members of the Congress Working Committee, senior leaders, and chief ministers of party-ruled states, besides party presidents and legislative party leaders of all states, were present on the occasion. During the 6700 km hybrid journey from Manipur to Mumbai, Rahul will walk 8-10 km daily and about 80 km by bus.
He will conclude the yatra in Mumbai on March 21, covering more than 115 districts in 15 states and 100 Lok Sabha seats. Rahul also said that he wanted to do the Bharat Jodo Yatra from east to west on foot, but due to the Lok Sabha elections, it was not possible due to lack of time.
Kharge targets PM Modi
Speaking on the occasion, Mallikarjun Kharge said that the Nyay Yatra is to stop the fascist forces in the country, save democracy, and the Constitution, and build the life and career of future generations. The yatra is against the demand for justice for the people, lack of employment, rising prices, the widening gap between rich and poor, and closure and sale of government companies. At the same time, it is to get fair prices for farmers and to give justice to women wrestlers and others.
PM Modi comes to Manipur for votes but he does not come when the people of Manipur are in trouble. They take a walk in the sea and chant Ram-Ram. Ram in their mouth and knife in their side, they should not do this to the public. All this hypocrisy should not be done for votes.
When Pandit Nehru visited Manipur for the first time, he described it as the jewel of India. The same thing was said by Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. This is the land of Manipur which fought for freedom.
Jairam said – it has been eight months, why did the Prime Minister not come here
Congress General Secretary (Communications) Jairam Ramesh said, “It has been eight months, why did the Prime Minister not come here, why did he not break the silence, did not meet the Chief Minister here, did not meet the MPs here, did not meet the political parties here, did not meet the MLAs here, why Why is the PM scared for eight months, why not come to Manipur?”
He said, “People are sitting here, talking to Rahul ji, explaining their pain and suffering to Rahul ji, this is the second time Rahul ji has come to Manipur, had come before, stayed here for three days, and still people are saying that you are coming, But why is the Prime Minister not coming?”
Sharing pictures of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh wrote on social media platform X, “The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra has started against the injustice of the last 10 years. Today, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge ji started the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra by giving the national flag to Rahul Gandhi and flagged off the bus. The yatra will continue raising voices against the injustice done in Manipur in the last 8 months. Don’t suffer… Don’t be afraid… Until justice is served!”
Top party leaders join
The yatra was flagged off on Sunday from a private ground in the Khongjom area of Thoubal district. The yatra was attended by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and top party leaders. Keeping in mind the Lok Sabha elections, Congress will raise other issues like unemployment, inflation, and social justice through this yatra.

Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said – this is a fight of ideology
The journey for justice on the holy occasion of Makar Sankranti is beginning from Manipur. Under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, this yatra will go from East to West i.e. from Manipur to Mumbai. Whether the journey succeeds or fails is a different matter, it is a fight of ideology. Only the ideology of the Congress party can save the country,” he said. This visit has nothing to do with victory or defeat in elections.
Danish Ali Join Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra
Lok Sabha MP Dan Shi Ali, who was suspended from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) due to anti-party activities, is growing closer to the Congress. In this episode, Dan Shi Ali arrived in Manipur on Sunday (January 14) to join Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’.
Sharing a photo with Rahul Gandhi in a series of social media posts, Danish Ali said, “Today I have decided to join Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra. This is a very special and important moment for me. I have taken this decision only after a lot of introspection and finally reached this conclusion. He said that in the current situation and atmosphere that has been created in the country today, I had two options.
In another post, he justified his joining Rahul Gandhi’s yatra, calling it the “biggest campaign for unity and justice” and said if he does not join it, he will not be able to discharge his duty as a politician properly.
He also said that I had two options, one was to accept the status quo and the other was to start an all-out campaign against the atmosphere created by ignoring the exploitation of Dalits, backward, tribals, minorities, and poor sections to divide the country. My conscience prompted me to take the second option and I joined Rahul Gandhi’s campaign.

“More than 200 deaths have been reported in the ongoing violence between Kuki and Meitei communities in Manipur since May 3. At the same time, more than a thousand people have been injured. More than 65,000 people have been rendered homeless.”
